Philippe Salomon

OMG TODAY FOUND THE BEST IMAGE EVER!!!!

This is the amazing work of photographer Philippe Salomon. I don't know who the make-up artist is unfortunately but they're are in credible. I can't decide if the model is the same or if they're all different. At a first look you think different but if you look closer the face shapes, noses and lips are very similar. What do you think?
I do plan to recreate these images so will blog about it when I do and you can compare.

MAC Fluidline Eyeliner Gel Review

Omg I love this product. I've heard so many things about it so i thought i'd try it for myself. It glides on so easily, drys quick and is pretty much smudge proof. It has a matte finish and looks so expensive, it dried almost instantly and if you're a blinker when it comes to applying eyeliner you have no worries, unlike liquid it won't create creases or leave marks where you don't want them. The brush is so fine that it makes it easy to apply a thin or a thick line you can just keep applying till you're happy. It's water proof and even when wet doesn't run or smudge which I loved about it. I had it on for at least 8 hours yesterday and it didn't smudge of fade at all. Unlike a pencil you don't have to keep applying to make it darker, it instantly comes out the colour it's meant to which mean you save product, and you hardly need any to start off with. Make-up artists and lovers I recommend this product, it's quick and easy to use, last ages and the finish is so sexy and stunning.

Make-up for people who don't use make-up

Right, Ladies we have a problem! Too many of you don't use make-up or don't know how to use make-up. So these products are cheap, quick and easy to use.

Lipstick. You all know how to use it a five year old can do it. If you're worried about the colour then go for a light colour. Pinks are great. Red is hit or miss so get someone to help you pick one out, but if you have thin lips stay away it'll make them look thinner. Browns and dark lipsticks are not flattering on older women. People think they are but this is wrong. As you get older the colour of your lips starts to fade so go for pinks to put the colour back in your lips. Natural Collection are great for this. The lipsticks are subtle colours are very flattering.

Mascara. It's easy. Close your eyes and brush the eyelashes down and this coats the lashes then open your eyes and coat the other side of your lashes. Waterproof is always a good idea. People believe the more expensive mascara the better this is a lie, it's the brush. Go for a thick brush.

Blush. Go for a pink, if you go for a light colour then you can keep applying more if you want it darker. Get one with a brush, don't use a sponge. They absorb the colour and waste the product. Just put it on the apples of the cheeks and the cheek bones. Don't brush in a line use circular motions.

Highlighters are great. Collection 2000 do one that's sooooo easy to apply. It's a stick and you just wipe it across your cheek bones and then rub in with your finger tips. It's takes 2 seconds, you don't need a brush just your fingers.

    Make-Up Kit Must Haves

There are many things that a make-up artist must have in their make-up kits these are my must haves, faves and couldn't live withouts.

    Number 1 Beauty So Clean
This is one of the most important things you need in a kit. It's a cosmetic sanitizer. Spray it on lipsticks, pencils, creams and powders. It won't effect texture, colour or pigment and it cleans the product.

    Number 2 Gleam Cream
This is gleam cream by Illamasqua. It's great for bridal make-up, older models and for models with dry or bad skin. It brings back that youthful glow, works great under or on top of make-up.

    Number 3 Disposables

This is soooo important. Bacteria grows in everything. A make-up artist should get rid of their mascara every month and if it's your personal one every 3. But the second you use the wand that comes with the mascara you can't use it on anyone else because the ward would have obtained bacteria, then if you put that back in the mascara, you've now transferred it to the product. DON'T DO THIS. Buy disposables, it might be expensive but it covers you, that way your model couldn't for caught anything from you. It's the same with lipgloss and liquid eyeliner, however, that's easier to apply with a brush.

    Number 4 Weleda Skin Food

This is a face mask that you leave on. It's an extreme and intense moisturizer and hydrator. Great for men's skin as it's tougher and works well with stubble, for older and dry skin. It's made from natural products so i've never had an allergic reactions it's an amazing product.

    Number 5 Eyebrow Cake
    Number 6 Primer

Illamasqua do great primers. A satin and a matte primer. Get both. They are great and those are really the only kinds you will need. Use them under the make-up they are so smooth and they make the skin look and feel incredible. Laura Mercier also do a great primer.

    Make-up Deals

At the moment there are loads of make-up deals so get spending.

Boots have a lot of deals on.

Natural Collection Make-up is on 3 for 2, and you may not think much of this brand but trust me it's amazing. Great for make-up artists that do a lot of weddings. Brides usually want a natural look and natural collection is great for this. I would highly recommend their lipsticks, cover-up sticks, blushers and bronzers. This is a make-up secret you don't need to buy expensive items to get great quality. Mascaras are the same no matter what make it's the BRUSH that does the work. Lipsticks are all made out of the same products more or less, it's the colour to look out for.

Soap and glory at Boots is on 3 for 2, and Maybelline is on buy one get the second half price.
