Fendi

I loved the crackle effect. It would look so cool in a club, imagine it catching the lights. The rest of the make-up is left plain and basic so the eye make-up doesn't look that extreme.

DSquared2

I love this look. Reminds me of Ke$ha a bit, looks like something she would wear. I love the whole look. The styling is totally me. The clothes, hair, make-up it works together so well. It's messy and scruffy but still looks like you've made the effort. It's quick and easy and the whole look is perfect for FESTIVALS!!!!

Emilio Pucci

 This look is perfect for night. it's sexy and seductive, smart and gives of an expensive look. It's a metallic twist on a smoky eye, the hair is very reminiscent of beach hair, it's quick and easy but still sexy. The combed up eyebrows are bang on trend, BIG EYEBROWS ARE ON TREND less reason to pluck now ladies. PUT THE TWEEZERS AWAY.

John Galliano, Rodarte, Lanvin, Ashish and Georgio Armani are just some of the other designers that committed to this trend.

• Eyes and lips are coated in shiny metallic hues, with gold and silver proving to be the most popular colours
  
• At Fendi, make-up artist Peter Philips added silver foils over the eyes for a space-age vibe, while at Krizia models sported gold foil placed haphazardly on the front of the head
  
• Designers created a three-dimensional look with crushed metal-inspired eye make-up and glittery lips
  
• Make-up focuses on enhancing either the eyes or lips, never both, for a simple statement look, while the rest of the face is contoured and bronzed
  
• The cool metallic tones on the eyes and lips are contrasted with warm matt skin for a contemporary look
  
• A key product called MAC Metal-X Eye Shadow was widely used backstage and is set to be the product of the season when it launches in spring/summer 2012 said Debbie Finnegan, MAC senior artist
  
• Fendi, Thierry Mugler and Krizia showcased the most inspirational hair and make-up looks

Again people COMB THOSE BROWS UP. BIG BROWS ARE BACK. It's simple, girly and natural. Just pink and peachy tones. Skin is a big thing here it looks as if it's glowing. It's perfect for spring/summer. It's simple, and this look goes with any outfit. The hair's out of you face and put up in a simple plait.

Viktor & Rolf

These designers take it one step further. Big PINK lashes. Yet again simple base, rosy cheeks, pink lips, and simple hair. I love this look, the heavy metal one suit my rock chic style more but this is great for the day.

• Bold, childlike make-up and simple, girly pulled-back hairstyles take centre stage
  
• Pastels form the key colour palette, ice cream or macaroon-inspired shades: marshmallow pink, duck egg blue, lemon sorbet and mint green.
• This trend was best realised at Meadham Kirchhoff, Vanessa Bruno and Amaya Arzuaga.

Blocked Brights

Block, Bright colours just scream summer. It's young, fun and on trend. So experiment. Clash colours have fun with it. It's bold and vivid. One feature is highlighted while the rest looks make-up free. And matte is the way forward.

Brands

Buying make-up has a lot to do with the brand. Many people buy products because of the brand name however, this isn't always a good idea. You can miss out on some great products purely because you don't know much about the brand and many people will look down their noses at a brand because of its price.

Illamasqua

I love Illamasqua and I'm a loyal customer. It isn't an extremely well-known brand yet as it's still very new. The products are great quality, some can be a little pricey but you know your getting quality so paying a little more than highstreet brands shouldn't put you off. A lot of the make-up has been made by make-up artists and it's a great brand for make-up artists. It looks professional and it's made mainly for professionals. You'll notice that all the products especially the foundations are put in bottles that stand up and don't take up lots of room in your kit, and as they stand up they take up less space on a table. Also the bottles only let you squeeze out a little bit at a time, as you don't need a lot of the product as they spread so well and this way you don't waste as much. I have found them to be cheaper than MAC and other high-end make-up stores on many items. Alex Box is a big part of Illamasqua. She is a spokeswoman for the company, the face of Illamasqua and creates all the advertising and campaigns, she also has a big input on many of the products. Here's some of Illamasqua's campaigns.

Sleek Make Up

I love Sleek Make Up. It's Cheap, the colours are bright, it's compact and made up into palettes which is great for a make-up kit as it takes up less room. The textures of the make-up are perfect. It's created mainly for darker skin and different ethnicities. The colours come out the way they look which is very rare usually the colours look bright but when using them they don't come out as bright but this isn't true with sleek as it's intended for darker skin tones. Their advertising isn't as strong as Illamasqua's and doesn't show the true quality of their products.

Natural Collection

Yes i know this isn't what you'd expect but the products are great quality. They're so cheap and if you're a make-up artist the products are great for brides. They're mainly natural colours, browns, cream, pinks, corals and they are bang on trend for spring/summer 2012. You can create amazing natural looks with their products and the colours are great. I love their lipsticks. Lipsticks are my guilty pleasure, i can't help myself and at £1.99 who cares. Trust me, buy this brand you won't be disappointed. And at the moment they're on 3 for 5.

Eye Brow Cake by Illamasqua

 

I adore this product. You can create so many different looks with it and with the angled brow brush it's so easy to apply. You can make the brows look soft by only using a small amount of product or make them look darker and more dramatic if you apply more. It looks more natural than a pencil but you can also make the brows look unnatural by adding more product. It also comes in many different colours. I couldn't live without it, it looks so slick. Looks like you've made so much effort when it's so quick and easy to apply.

Sleek Eye Shadow Palette

 

These palettes are incredible. They're so cheap and great quality. It is aimed at black and darker skin types however, works on everyone. The colours really do come out this vibrant regardless of how dark your skin tone is. As a make-up artist I find black skin types more challenging to work with and I never turn down a challenge, and these palettes looks beautiful against all skin types in my opinion and i've never had any complaints from my models. Sleek is quickly turning into one of my favorite make-up brands.

Gleam Cream by Illamasqua

I love gleam cream. If you don't have time for make-up GET THIS. It makes you glow, it looks natural, great on any skin type and works extremely well on older skin. It makes you have that youthful glow without looking like you've done anything to your skin and goes great underneath or on top of make-up.  Quick and easy to use, can use your fingers if you need to. Last ages as you only need a small amount. Great for highlighting, looks great on cheek bone and the brow bone. It's a little pricey but great investment not just for make-up artists but everyone.

Highlighters by Collection 2000

You have no excuse not to get these. The collection 2000 highlighter sticks are so cheap and easy and quick to use. Comes in 4 colours which I have found go with every skin colour. Just blend in, you can put blushers or bronzers over the top, and I great tip is use the lightest one that still matches your skin tone under the eyebrow. Makes them look sharp and higher.

Barry M Dazzle Dust

Comes in so many colours, lasts ages as you only need a little and the colours are so vibrant whats not to like???

Barry M Kohl Pencils

Again they come in so many colours and their cheap and great quality. They're so soft that can be used all over the eye lid instead or as well as eye shadow, and they're great lip liners as they match so many lipsticks. 

Illumine Oil

I just brought this. Illamasqua £7.50 SALE SALE SALE. It's incredible and for £7.50 why not. Put it on top of make-up or underneath the sparkle and colours shine through and it looks sooooo expensive. Makes your skin look younger and health and you just glow. BUY IT NOW!!!

 Illamasqua Skin Base

I adore skin base. It's inspired by BB creams. It makes your skin look flawless, without looking like you're wearing make-up. It feels nice on the skin, you hardly need any of the product so it lasts ages and it stays on all day. It's waterproog, and comes in so many shades. Airbrushing it the best way to put on make-up to make the skin look flawless and stunning but Skin Base comes in a close second, and you can put it through and airbrush with some thinner. What's not to love.
